Before becoming a photographer, I was in the education field. I enjoy bringing both of my passions together to help educate photographers who are wanting to start their business, learn photography fundamentals, or just improve their skills and knowledge. Learning your craft is so important so that you can be successful, stand out and enjoy it along the way. Whether you are wanting to learn the fundamentals of photography, business/marketing, or how to set up your business, I offer customized one-on-one mentoring in all these areas. Everything is customized for you and what you need or want to learn.
During your mentoring session, I am hands on with shooting and make sure you understand everything you are learning. We will move at a pace that you are comfortable with so that you understand everything. You are welcome to ask as many questions as you’d like, and I am happy to answer them all!
One-on-one mentoring sessions are held on Saturdays generally from 9am-6pm. It is a full day jam packed with information, a styled shoot, editing and more! You are even able to use the images we take to help build your portfolio.
The styled shoot can be your choice of a senior session, engagement session, or child (ages 7-13). Even though I do specialize in senior portrait photography, I have years experience photographing weddings, engagements and families. If you prefer to work with one over another, let me know.
Lunch and dinner are also included.
The mentoring happens in the Sacramento, Ca area (specifically Rocklin). The location is a nice cozy place with comfortable chairs and calming atmosphere.
What is the cost?
The cost for the one-on-one full Saturday mentoring is $850.
What forms of payment do you accept?
I accept check, paypal, or credit cards.
Is there a deposit?
Yes. The deposit is non-refundable to hold your date and it is $300.
If I want to bring a friend for 2:1 mentoring, do you offer a discount?
Yes, you each receive a $100 discount.
Where can I stay?
There are two brand new Marriott hotels 5 minutes away from the venue where we will be meeting. There are also many restaurants and shopping areas close by.
Who can sign up for one-on-one mentoring?
Anyone living outside the Sacramento Area. If you do live in the Sacramento area but are still interested, please send me your address/zipcode and I will look at the possibility. I understand that the distance between my area and the other side of Sacramento is pretty large, so depending on what area you live in you may be able to attend.
What do I bring?
-Laptop with editing software
-Camera, Bag, Lenses, Reflector and any other important gear
-Notebook and pen
-Comfy clothes and shoes
If I have more questions, where can I contact you?
Feel free to email me at firstname.lastname@example.org or you can find me on facebook.
**I do offer online/over the phone mentoring but it is extremely limited. I prefer to do it in person so that I can work with you personally. It is easier to cover the material in person and we also get to do a hands on photo shoot.
