Great News

So its been a while since I have posted on my blog here. I have been working very hard at something, and am finally able to reveal it today! It has taken me about 6 months to get this finished. What is it? It is something for photographers. Something for those that want to jump into the senior portrait business.  I have created a senior guide that helps you start a successful senior program, along with a senior rep program.  The story behind it is this…After moving to Seattle and wanting to start up my own senior business, I found information here and there. I applied the information and tried to get things going, but it just wasn’t working out for me. So I decided to do things a different way, and get a little more creative.  I started to build up my senior base pretty quickly, and the marketing strategies I was using seemed to really get the word out there for me.  Don’t get me wrong here, I didn’t re-invent any ‘marketing strategies’ or anything. I just did things a little differently, and took a different approach to what I originally thought worked.

After my senior business starting growing more and more, I couldn’t be happier. It wasn’t until January, when I found out that it was more than a possibility that I’d be moving to Sacramento. I realized I had to start everything over again, I had to build my senior business from scratch. It terrified me, and I didn’t know if I could do it. It was at that point that I thought, “I’ve done this before, I just need to do what I did in Seattle”.  Then it hit me…I need to write up an actual program for someone like me, whether they are wanting to start a senior program or re-vamp their current one.  I knew that I could apply everything I had done previously with my senior program. I was so excited to start this adventure and create something that I knew actually worked from my experience.  The great part is that I have since then started building my new senior program here in Sacramento and have done great with it.  I have many local seniors wanting to be reps, and things are moving along smoothly.

I am grateful that I am finally able to share with you all what I have spent so MUCH time on.  I am thankful for my old roommate who is an English Professor for proofing and editing my digital manual, so you all can read through it easily. I am thankful for my friend Mike, for proofing the video and letting me know that I needed to buy royalty free music so I don’t have a copyright infringement. (Check!) And I am SO very thankful for my great friend Leslie who has motivated and stuck by me the whole way to push me to get this done. There were days when I had this sitting on my computer 90% of the way done, thinking I couldn’t finish it and get it out there. Thank you guys!

I usually don’t announce that it is my b-day, but it so happens that I finished this in time to announce it on my special day! Double Whammy!:)So I threw in a pretty sweet discount.

You can see my Senior Portraits 101 Guide here!

In a nutshell, it includes:

  • A 25+ page digital manual
  • Customizable contracts and forms
  • A 65 minute video of my complete workflow and processing (beginning to end)
  • Marketing Templates to get you started (tri-fold, rep card, storyboard, and more)

There is A LOT there, so go check out the details! My description does not do it justice.
